Description
Your book is an illustrated children’s book. It consists of the following:
- up to 40 illustrations (additional illustrations are $2 each)
- up to 40 pages of text (additional pages are $5 each)
The eBook created for our children’s illustrated package will be a fixed-layout eBook.
We do not provide illustration services; this package assumes that you will be providing the illustrations needed to complete the layout of your book.
Your Package Includes:
Interior Book Design:
- Design of two layout concepts of one of your book’s chapters for review and feedback
- Consultation via phone or video conference with your book designer
- Two more design concepts, if needed, based on your comments
- The layout of your book’s interior in Adobe InDesign to the style of your approved concept
- Draft PDF of the entire book for your review
- Up to 15 text corrections after you review the draft PDF at no additional charge; additional corrections are $1 each with a $10 PDF recreation fee
- Print-ready PDF set to your your printer’s requirements
Book Cover Design:
- Design three initial cover concepts for your front cover
- Two more design concepts, if needed, based on your comments
- Layout of your front, back, and spine to your cover set to your printer’s specifications
- Draft PDF of book cover spread for your review
- Print-ready PDF set your printer’s requirements once the cover is approved
eBook Conversion:
- The conversion of your book to a fixed-layout eBook format
- KDP and ePUB fixed-layout eBook file formats
Add-On Options
Self-Publishing Coach Add-On
Your self-publishing consult add-on includes three consulting sessions designed to help you navigate the self-publishing process:
Session 1: Your Self-Publishing Plan
- In our initial session, we’ll focus on developing a comprehensive self-publishing plan. We’ll discuss platforms like IngramSpark, Amazon KDP, and Draft2Digital. We will also go over key elements such as ISBNs, copyright registration, business setup, taxes, and Library of Congress Control Numbers. Following our session, I will send an email containing your personalized self-publishing plan and next steps.
Session 2: The Red Tape
- Our second session, conducted via Zoom, addresses administrative tasks. During the Zoom call, I’ll guide you through obtaining your ISBNs, registering your copyright, securing a Library of Congress Control Number, and setting up your accounts on IngramSpark, Amazon KDP, and Draft 2 Digital as needed.
Session 3: Submission and Wrap-Up
- During the final session, held via a Zoom call, we’ll delve into the book pricing and categories for your book. We will then go through the upload process on IngramSpark, Amazon KDP, and Draft 2 Digital to get your book’s title information and files submitted. Post-submission, we’ll discuss the next steps and address any lingering questions.
Your coaching sessions will be held with Kimberly Martin, self-publishing coach and founder of Jera Publishing.
Book Marketing Kit Add-On
The marketing kit add-on comes with:
- Design of a sell sheet to use in press and media kits
- The design of a bookmark to give away at your book events
- 3D book cover to use in online and offline marketing material
- A QR code that points to your website
* includes the design, but not the printing, of your marketing items. You will receive print-ready files to send to a printer.
Submission Assistance Add-On
Need help uploading your print-ready files and title information to IngramSpark and Amazon KDP but don’t need our full consulting package? With our Submission Assistance service, we will have you send us some information, then we will log into your IngramSpark and/or Amazon KDP accounts on your behalf to set up your titles and upload your files
