On Friday, July 18th, Mayor Jere Wood of Roswell visited Jera Publishing to officially welcome them to the neighborhood. Around 30 people were in attendance. Jera Publishing opened its doors in their new location in October of 2013, but from the beginning, business increased so dramatically that a celebration fell to the back burner.
The day began humid and rainy, as July days are apt to do. Several members of the city council and Roswell, Inc., tagged along with the mayor; clients and friends of Jera Publishing were in attendance as well. A light lunch and desserts were served and tours given of the new office space.
“When I bought this place, I wanted it to be a place that local authors could feel at home,” owner Kimberly Martin said to her guests. “This place is for you, the authors, to feel a sense of community and solidarity. Welcome home.” And with that, the bright red ribbon was cut and Jera Publishing was officially a tenant of Roswell.
